Principle of heat pump functions

The heat pump is a device, which takes out heat at a relatively low temperature (so-called low potential thermal energy) from the outside environment or residual heat from the technological equipment, and, re-pumps it into the heat usable for heating the buildings and heating up the warm service water. For this purpose is partially used the electrical energy, which is employed efficiently in this heating method. Likewise are engaged the physical properties of the working substance (refrigerant), which evaporates even at low outside temperatures. This includes therefore a heat transformation process, during which multiple times less electrical energy is required than is the value of the gained heat energy. Neither the heat generated by the function of the heat pump compressor will remain unexploited, as it will be included into the total gained heat balance. The pump efficiency will be directly dependent on the temperature of the low potential energy source.
